On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, a series of events were held in collaboration with Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Wildlife Conservation, Rehabilitation Application and Research Center, Salda Lake Science Center, and the 6th Regional Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks.
The event started at the Burdur Salda Lake Nature Park Visitor Center. The program was attended by Salda Lake Science Center Director Prof. Dr. İskender GÜLLE, MAKÜ Faculty of Arts and Sciences Vice Dean Assoc. Dr. Mustafa ÖZTOP, Acting Wetlands Branch Manager Ersan BERBEROĞLU, Burdur DKMP Chief Şeyda ŞİŞMAN, and MAKÜ students.
Wildlife Conservation, Rehabilitation UAM Director Dr. Lecturer Yasemin ÖZDEMİR provided information about the event and made statements about the bird and wildlife species in the region. Following the briefing and introduction about the Salda Lake Nature Park Visitor Center, at the Salda Lake Science Center, Center Director Prof. Dr. İskender GÜLLE informed the participants about the hydrological and geological features of Salda Lake Science Center, Salda Lake, and Yarışlı Lake.
The event continued with various practical trainings conducted by Acting Wetlands Branch Manager Ersan BERBEROĞLU.
In the final part of the event, students expressed their satisfaction with the program, exchanged ideas about activities that could be carried out in the future, and conveyed their requests to the authorities.
